Why select Laminate for the floors in your home?

Laminate provides the classic appeal of hardwood floors at budget-friendly prices. In addition, laminate is now made to mimic natural stone, ceramic tile and other flooring options such as slate and granite.

For these important reasons, laminate continues to be a top selection for our customers who want the beauty of those other options but with lower costs for the installation and material. A quality laminate floor can last for over 20 years, which means its durability only adds to its benefits. If you’re searching for an affordable flooring material that is more than able to withstand the demands of an active household while also displaying timeless visual appeal that complements the rest of your interior decor, laminate may be an ideal choice for you.

A Flooring Material That is Made to Last

Laminate floors are well-known for their water resistant qualities. Yet, it is also resistant against dents, stains and scratches.

It’s these advantages that make laminate so useful in locations that get lots of foot traffic. Talk to a member of our flooring team today for more details about our wide selection of laminate floors.

A synthetic material, laminate typically consists of four layers:

-The wear layer. This is the thin layer of tough, clear melamine resin. It holds up well against foot traffic and protects the floor from dents, scrapes and gouges.
-The pattern. Similar to a photo, the image is often stone or wood.
-Core layer. Manufactured from a dense fiberboard containing resin to provide durability and hardness, the core is water-resistant, too. Also, the core is usually the thickest layer.
-Balance layer. This serves to stabilize the plank while acting as a barrier against vapor.
Some types of laminate comes with an attached underlayer, which is a good feature when no underlay is already in place.
